Today I wanted to discuss relationships in the work place. As many of you may have experienced, they either work…or not. There could be quite a bit of drama involved. And when you watch television shows like Grey’s Anatomy and ER, you will see how hospital gossip spreads like wild fire. For some reason, hospitals love their “bedpan buzz” as I call it in my Dating Series books. I tend to embellish the drama quite a bit, but the truth is, gossip in the hospital work environment can be full of juicy ironic often hilarious tidbits of useless information. LOL (secret word #1 “I”) Have you ever been involved with a co-worker? How did it turn out? Were you still able to work there after the relationship ended? But damn if she wasn’t all prickly one minute and hot and yummy in his arms the next. His cock hardened and he shifted in his chair. She was all innocence and badass rolled into one. And smart.

He sat up straighter in his leather chair. The kernel of an idea blossomed. What if she didn’t realize they were going out on dates? Yeah, baby. He liked the notion already. But he’d have to tread carefully. JJ was a clever girl. Cruz would just have to be one step ahead of her in order to make his plan work. And once she was hooked on him… He glanced at his reflection in the full-length mirror that hung on the back of his office door and pointed to himself. His lips curved into a perfect smile and he winked.

I’ve never experienced a love story (secret or not) with a co-worker, but one on my colleague did (with the boss!) and it didn’t end well. I waited so long for Dating Impossible that I can’t wait to came back from the office this evening and buy my copy. Happy release day!!!!

Cristina, office romances usually don’t end well, but sometimes they do. My SO and I started out as friends and we did work together. Now it’s true love. I wanted to show that it could happen! Thank you south for buying my book. I hope you adore Cruz and JJ as much as I do!

I wouldn’t say I “dated” a co-worker. No, I’m more like JJ. It was just … uh.. casual sex 😀 I left that worthless job and we still continued to have … er… booty calls every once in a while. If you saw his pic, you wouldn’t blame me 😉 But most of the time, we’d try and hook up when the other wasn’t available, so it just kinda fizzled away. But I’ve messed around with guys like Dr. Avery. Guys with huge egos. It’s really fun to bring down their self-confidence a notch when you refuse them all the time. Haha, yeah, I know: I’m evil and I love it XD

I’ve dated a co worker before… two actually. Never again! its like meeting someone and moving in with them straight away. The first ended up getting jealous of me talking with another co worker – who was a friend before I even knew jealous 1 – which resulted in the fighting in the middle of work and both getting fired! The second ended up emailing my office email every 2 mins and moaning when I didn’t reply… errr hello, working here! Needless to say, that one didn’t last long.

Well, I have dated people I worked with but that was when I was younger and worked at restaurants and bars. It was that young love so it didn’t really mean too much and there were breakups but we still worked together. But I do have an experience with my ex (who I despise) when we were dating. His secretary would constantly bring him baked goods and did everything she could to draw his attention. At the time I was so annoyed, but looking back I think it was divine intervention telling me to walk away because he was a total jerk. They ended up getting married and from what I can tell they aren’t the happiest of couples and me I married someone amazing and a much better person. 🙂
