Hump Day Hook!

Hi Guys, and welcome to HDH!!!!!

This is a HDH from my Contemporary Romance , Called Running Home. This was my first ever published book–my baby–LOL. So I hope you enjoy it x

“I need to go,” she said finally, feeling oddly out of breath. Her body responded to this man. He did something to her. His cool blue eyes and calm movements held her complete attention, as if she had nothing else going on in her screwed-up life. He frowned and sat down again. Was it worry or hurt she saw on his face? Whatever it was, it tugged at something in her. She found herself apologizing to him, needing him to understand she wasn’t rejecting his hospitality. Oh, God, how she wanted to hide inside this pretty cottage, even for one night. But she couldn’t. It would be suicide. “I’m sorry, I just can’t stay here.”

*Sigh* I just adore this couple… Running Home is available on Amazon, AllRomance Ebooks, Barnes and Noble and BookStrand… And Secret Cravings Publishing x

  1. Lovely. THIS is probably my favourite type of POV (aside from the unreliable narrator because that’s just too damn fun).
As far as I’m concerned, this DEEP 3rd person limited omniscient narrator is the absolute best for romance.
    Brava.

  2. Thanks for letting me a part of this blog hop, Kerrianne. I loved reading your paragraph. I was trying to read the book’s tagline, but could only make out ex-military war hero. I’m going to have to look this one up!
