1.      We have the blurb for your new book, but would you please tell us about the story in your own words?

It’s about a woman who is wounded from a past relationship and an all around tough year. She takes a chance on a blind date hoping it will help her refocus. Of course, this is Madame Eve’s service, so both the characters find exactly what they are looking for.

2.      Where did you get the inspiration for the book?

I went to a wedding in Estes Park, Colorado (where the book is set) over the summer and fell in love with the location. I kept thinking it was the perfect place to fall in love with both nature and a person.

3.      You write Romance – Of which I am a massive fan. 😉  Do you write in any other genre?

At this point, no. I write within a bunch of different sub-genres and that takes up all the writing time I have.

4.      What are your plans for 2012??

Release a lot of great books? I have a Western coming out sometime in the next month and another 1 Night Stand story contracted.

5.      In your mind, what is the secret to a good romance?

Believable characters, lots of emotional conflict, and a convincing happily-ever-after.

6.      If you could meet a character from any book – who would it be? And why?

Yikes! I have absolutely no clue who I would pick. Katniss from Hunger Games is sticking out right now, but mostly because I just finished the trilogy.

7.      When you are not writing, what are you doing?

Um…probably writing. I’m trying to finish my dissertation in my next year, so I do a lot of reading and writing for that.

8    Which authors do you like to read?

I’m willing to read a lot of different authors and I don’t have any specific favorites at the moment.

9   Are you a plotter, or a pantser?

Pantser. If I plot first, I can’t write the book. It feels like it is already done.

10   If you had to take just one book to a desert island, what would it be?

Can I pick my Grimm’s Fairy Tale book? I’ve been in love with that book for years and never get tired of rereading.

11   Light or dark?

Beer? Light. Coffee? Dark. Books? Somewhere in between.

Public Display of Affection Blurb:

After a heartbreaking end to her relationship with her girlfriend, Lucy Stark is looking to try something more adventurous. She turns to Madame Eve’s 1Night Stand service to help her find the perfect woman to push her boundaries and introduce her to the more daring side of a sexual encounter.

Samantha Taylor’s helped more than one woman explore her sexuality, but Lucy’s the first to really get to her. Keeping her walls up and the women she dates from getting inside is a skill she’s managed to master. After one night of unbridled passion, she has to decide whether to give up her hard exterior or let the woman of her dreams slip away.

  2. Hello Emily!
I’m so glad you have another 1NS story in the works. I adore that series. I also love cowboys so your western is definitely on my radar.
